About Us
Thanks to funding from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, the National Service-Learning Partnership, Compass Institute, and a host of partner organizations established the Providers' Network in 2007 to improve the quality of service-learning practice.
Our three core strategies are:
- Develop Professional Development Guidelines: Create guidelines for what constitutes excellent service-learning professional development;
- Peer Networking: Create a face-to-face and online network where people doing professional development can find and share with others with similar interests and challenges;
- Create a Professional Development Library: Create a library of peer-reviewed tools, lessons and handouts that anyone can download to use in service-learning professional development;
Project coordinators are Drs. James and Pamela Toole of Compass Institute and the University of Minnesota.
