| | Short Description of My Current Work
I provide training and technical assistance to K-12 schools, organize state Service-learning conference for the state of Missouri, mentor on-line candidates for national Service-learning certification through the NYLC, serve as a member of the Missouri Service-learning Advisory Council.
Professional History
I have worked with Service-learning for 15 years. My experience started in the corporate restaurant scene where I was a manager that partnered with an area elementary school...my experiences continued when I started to teach and practiced Service-learning in the classroom for 11 years. Currently, I work as a regional center coordinator for the state of Missouri.
Professional Expertise/ Passions
I serve as a Service-learning regional center coordinator for the north central portion of Missouri. I provide training and technical assistance to K-12 public schools and am funded by Learn and Serve Missouri. I also serve as a mentor for the NYLC on-line certification process.
What I'm Most Excited About in My Current Work
They actually pay me to do this cool work with teachers and students and I am helping to spread the service movement throughout the state of Missouri!
